I was told in email I I could buy it now. I went to eBay and proceeded to do that , option gone

I got an email telling us we had been outbid and that I could buy it now, I went to eBay page and the option was gone. I was very disappointed that it said I could and I went to buy it and I wasn't able too

Once an auction-style listing with Buy-It-Now has bids, the BIN choice is removed by eBay and the listing becomes auction only.

If an auction has a 'Buy It Now" button, you don't need permission from the seller. Just use the BIN.

If there is not BIN button, the seller is not open to this, and you are in Violation if you try to make an Offer. Actually he is in Violation if he accepts the offer too.

You can still bid if your maximum value for the item has not been surpassed.
