If counter offer by seller isn't accepted by buyer, is buyer still obligated with original bid?

Hello,  I made a bid on an item and the seller made a counter bid that I am not interested in.  Am I still obligated to purchase the item at my original bid or by not replying within a certain time frame to their counter offer, is the transaction nul and void?

Thank you.

Once the seller counter-offers, you are no longer obligated to respond.

You can decline the sellers offer, choose not to respond or make another counter offer if you are still interested in the item.
