Is there some polite way to ask a buyer to leave feedback. I emailed said buyer after several weeks

Early last month, I had ONE sale.  after waiting 2 weeks? after the tracking said it was delivered--I emailed to see if everything was okay.  The buyer responded; but still hasn't left 'official' feedback about his purchase.

Is there some polite way to ask a buyer to leave feedback. I emailed said buyer after several weeks

Hello. In a word, 'no' it's not possible to politely insist a buyer leave feedback and if you try to do that it will most certainly backfire. But we collectively told you that earlier in the week. http://community.ebay.ca/t5/Seller-Central/My-last-buyer-has-not-given-any-feedback-it-s-been-awhile...

You won't find a different answer tonight.

Trust me, I do understand how frustrating it is to provide what you feel is excellent service only to be ignored in return.

My feedbacks received last month was only 15 per cent of those left.

This is what you can do to encourage feedback going forward. Forget about the buyer who didn't leave feedback and make sure you think ahead, not behind.

1. Leave feedback for your buyer on shipment. Make it personal in some non-invasive way and say something slightly different each time.

2. Send a note on your packing slips that says something like what I say: .... When your order arrives, please let us know if there is anything that we may do to increase your satisfaction with this transaction. McQueen and Mo Mater aims to provide each buyer with five-star service so if you feel that we have missed this mark, please let us know before you leave feedback and we will make it so. Thank you. - Maureen

3. If you haven't heard back, follow-uo once about a month later to ask if all is well. Note that ebay already does this so don't go overkill. That is where is can truly backfire.

Would you rather have no feedback for a job well done?

Or feedback that reads: "Everything was great until seller pestered me to leave feedback again and again."

Honestly, I have seen this left for sellers.

Don't make that mistake.
