My item of The Big Bang Theory season 5 was removed from ebay along with the seller (booooomz) id. I purchased it and received the item. I have not opened it yet because it is a gift.
If there is something wrong with it I'd like to know so i can return it or get reimbursed for it.
Can I be told why the user was removed?

Hello Duane,
You cannot be told why the user was removed, nor if the user closed his own account for his own reasons. If you received a notice that the item was removed, then ebay did it. Perhaps the items were suspected copies, or filched from the back of a truck. One never knows for certain. Many people bought this same item from the seller and are very happy with it, according to the seller's feedback.
If, however, you are not happy with yours, then you do have 45 days in which to file a claim. You could include in the complaint that the seller is 'no longer a registered user'. Section 4 of the following link tells more about items that are 'Not as Described':

Hi Duane.. Its possible the reason for removal is unrelated to the product. A fee payment issue as a example.
Only way to be certain is to examine the item. As stated , claims must be filed within 45 days and file by day 43 of payment date.

The item is probably fine but if you must file a dispute, do it through paypal.
