I was tracking some old car parts that I ordered. They said they arrived I checked the front door and when I opened the package I received a vintage fur coat. I've contacted the seller and he assured me that this is not what he sent. He said that head contacted eBay because the shipping was through them and that he should expect to hear from them in the next 72hours. I truly believe that at some transfer point during shipping the shippers tagged the wrong items and someone else got my parts. I am not sure what to do as I still really want these items as they are almost impossible to find but want to make sure that I don't end up paying for this coat and not receiving refund or parts.... What should I do?

Was this order placed through the Global Shipping Program? Who was your carrier? Where did it originate?

Sounds like a Global Shipping Program error as mjwl says.
He said that head contacted eBay because the shipping was through them and that he should expect to hear from them in the next 72hours.
EBay doesn't do any shipping. The seller would have shipped to the GSP plant in Kentucky.
If the shipment was not clearly enough marked for customs appraisal, it would be opened.
And then human error.....
EBay probably won't be able to help either of you much.
And your car parts may not have gone to the coat buyer.
Sigh.
Give your seller the 72 hours and confirm that he shipped to Kentucky.
If he did, he's off the hook.
Go then to eBay and open an Item Not As Described dispute and state in the Dispute that this is a GSP shipment.
What basically happens then is that the GSP says oops and refunds you in full.
You keep the coat.
Does it fit?
And now you start your search for your parts all over again.

SIGNIFICANTLY NOT AS DESCRIBED is right! Odd though, that it made it across the border at all. Furs are on the Prohibited List, which means that someone else somewhere bought it and not an American because it would not have been sent to Kentucky. What is going on in that place where a parcel comes in and an entirely wrong label is stuck on it? And I thought "prohibited" items would not appear in the GSP. Well, I thought that is what they wanted us to believe.
