Just getting fed up with eBay

Hi everyone,

I do not know if you guys are getting frustrated with the new updates, rules and adjustment, eBay is just getting worst day by day, we get charge back after charge back from PayPal nowadays, people claim for not as described and PayPal ignores our return and exchange policies and ask the costumers to return the goods, costumer bought a pair of jeans at 50% off the retail 2 months ago and she is being asked by PayPal to send it back because it did not fit her the way she wanted too, even though we have a very clear exchange and return policy, where in the world do you buy anything 50% off in boxing day and you return it after two month ?? shows that this site have no respect for company's policies. Mark down manager has been down for past two months, contacted eBay many times and yet still going the same, no change. Mark down manager is the strongest tool for our business and because we could not bring down our prices for past two months, we have lost a lot in revenue, anybody care?? NO
and now the best match thing, we are the only seller for God sake on eBay.ca and eBay.com that sell authentic Energie, G-STAR, MISS SIXTY clothes and guess what, when you search for any of these keywords, you will see the Asian fake crap first than at the end our listings, we think this is just too much to take, eBay is just becoming paradise for all spam sellers and we do not want to be part of this unprofessional organization.

We are just working hard to move our inventories to the new place by the end of spring, I hope nothing will happen until then.

I hope that you guys do not have as much as problem as I do and I wish you the best of luck in your selling.

Regards,

I think your frustration might be with PayPal and there is easy help with that by not accepting it. Get a merchant account with some of the Internet companies backed by a bank.

The true tool on eBay are 7-day listings, not a store listings. Have every 7 days an auction running ideally for every category you list into and put a "Visit my store for more great items like this" link to a hot spot in your listing and you will see the traffic to your shop skyrocketing. 7-day listings are more expensive than store listings, so if you have great prices, use the auctions instead of Buy It Now.

When I type "Miss Sixty Jeans" I get 4 pages of results on eBay.ca Stores. Seems like a competitive niche.

eBay searches by "ending soonest" by default for me, so sellers that have a LOT of auctions and 7-day listins ending every day get spotted much faster.

Btw. when I opened one of your listings, your sales tax table is set to 6% for all the provinces. At the very top of the listing is in big red letters - "Thinking about what if the purchased jeans won’t fit you well? Exchange them! Free of charge!".

But if you made your mind and pulling off, good luck.

Moving to your own MERCHANT account will not solve your chargeback problems whatsoever and infact will only lead you to have more problems because now you will have to fight the chargebacks yourself.

Nevermind, when you do the math you will see that your total costs will be the same if not more than you are now paying PAYPAL.

I agree that the 2 month return policy that paypal affords buyers is ridiculous and should be limited to 30days as it is in the real world.

Oneway to completely avoid chargebacks is to accept Money Orders - you could sway buyers to paying via money order with a 5-10% discount or so.

For Canadian buyers you could only offer EMAIL MONEY TRANSFER and CanadaPOST MONEY ORDERS as acceptable means of payment.

DO NOT expect PAYPAL to enforce your terms and conditions and they will always do what is in their or the buyers best interest.

Or template is undergoing changes to remove a lot of the terms and condition we have listed since they are of no-use in the eye of PAYPAL so why bother to even have them.

Both eBaY and PAYPAL expect all sellers to accept returns for no reason whatsoever and to refund money once item is returned. This is not going to change anytime soon.

Good Luck

Thanks for the reply, my frustration is not actually from PayPal chargeback as I know I would have the same problem regardless, my frustration is I am the only true certified seller who sell authentic Energie and G-STAR clothes on eBay and now according to eBay's new changes "best match" my listings come after those who sell cheap Asian fake crap on eBay, it is just because of us that now so many people think of eBay when they want to purchase these clothes, but our listing being shown at the end even after individual sellers who only have one listing for sale, we hit the Titanium last month and thats what we got in return from eBay, this is just unfair and unprofessional.

It was just some noob who left you negitive and gave you problems bound to happen anyways . Ebay is Good for me ppl like cheap junk . Prolly for you its harder cause you have to deal with all the fake crap i can see how that would drive a person up the wall . I just add a few extra dollars in shipping to make up for the tools that give me problems case solved .
