Message to all sellers who want to take advantage of that promotion:
1) READ the terms carefully then read them again.
2) This promotion applies to fixed price listings only (Not auction with BIN option)
3) "30 days" means "30 days" not "GTC"
4) If you have more than one user ID, make sure you list with the speficic User ID who received the invitation.
5) Keep in mind the start and end times are different on eBay.com and eBay.ca
6) When ready to start, submit one listing to confirm everything is OK and no fee was actually charged to your account (do not assume: check your seller account).
Good Luck.

Yay! Guess I could do 5-days first (I can do it on .ca now!), and then do 30-days after they ended. \o/

"four rounds of 1 day each ."
As stated earlier, please READ the fine print and read it again.
"period as defined below. 3, 5, 7, 10, and 30-day listing"
Do you see one day anywhere?

It's okay, 1 day listing isn't an option for FP listings anyway. so he shouldn't be able to list any 1 day listings with FP...
I guess you could do two rounds of 3 days (from Dec 27 - 30, then from Dec 30 - Jan 2) and then 30 days. Though you'd have to make sure you have internet access to relist right away to utilize it that way...

You guys are lucky, I guess I do not rate as one of the chosen ones. I will just have to be one of the ones that keeps paying my bills to be able to fund the rest of these FREE INSERTIONS for other people. Happy New Year to all of Ebay. (Yes I am Bitter about not being included)

I am not included in these promotions. I do not get the invitations. Even after I closed my eBay store in November, I still did not get the invitation.
Yet, I am not complaining. I am not bitter. I feel I am lucky as I always see the glass as half full, never half empty!
It is a bit like my income tax bill. It is large and that is a good thing! 🙂 Think about it? What is the alternative? Less tax because I had lower income?
The same on eBay. They seem to invite sellers who have not acheived a high level of sales while not inviting those who sell a lot (and presumably make lots of money).
Where do you want to be? Among those who sell and make money? Or with the other guys who eBay feels need help with a promotional discount?

Beware of the extra fees - especially if you use TurboLister. Gallery Plus and Picture Pack are not free with this promotion and sometimes when I use TurboLister these features auto fill. I caught this in the fine print and had to go back and change my listings. Good thing you can change multiples!

Actually there is no rhyme or reason with this strategy. I have access to a number of accounts. Some not even used for a few years and this time not one got an invite,

eBay, thank you for the invitation but no thanks as I want the auction-style format. So when are you going to offer us the free listings promo for the auction-style format?? It has been way toooooooo long since Jun 2012.

How do I compose a new topic? I cannot find it anywhere and even "Help" doesn't help at all. Where can I click to start a new topic? Why can't eBay it more friendly user than making too complicated?? Any advise. Thanks.

"Simply" select a forum category and simply click New Topic at the top of the list of topics.
You cannot start a new topic from the general "Discussion Forums" view of all newer topics. You must first select a specific forum category first (like say Canada Town Square or Selling). The forums categories are listed at the top of the "Discussion Forums".
Be careful when creating a New Topic. The first selection is New Topic in a blue button and the other option are in plain blue text. For some reason new posters click on New Topic with Poll right beside the blue button New Topic and I assume they think the blue button is title and not a button for New Topic without a poll.
I do find the forums Help button on the top right helpful and informative. It is not very detailed as it does assume some computer experience using forums and computers. Very common today to make this assumption. The computer generation of the last 25 years all seem to very adept at picking up these skills.
For myself, being older, I am a bit slower on picking up changes and new things. More of a "I don't care" attitude towards new technology and change. Which is a bad attitude to have if you sell on eBay especially, LOL ... 🙂

There was free auction listing promos earlier this month. Perhaps you didn't receive them?

No, not based on sales because mine are high. I got my first ever invitation. I have been on vacation and I let my listings run out. I thought it was to get me back. Oh well came at a good time since I was going to renew some of my listings anyway.
