Hello. I recently bought a phone on eBay. This morning I woke up to it saying delivered to KY and I live in Canada so I started to freak out I contacted the seller wantig a refund thinking he sent it to the wrong person. I had never dlt with the pbi before so after bak and forth talk he explains to me he shipped it to the eBay warehouse and they will ship to me. Now before that message I had started a dispute on PayPal. What should I do now? I don't want to close it till the item is in my hand cause if I close it and some thing happens I can't get a refund. If I wait and close it when the item arives is that okay? I opened it today the item should arrive next week. I felt really bad as I was freaking out for nothing. If PayPal refunds me can I give the money back? I don't want my money if I get the product I orderd and all seems resolved.

Paypal will not refund you unless you escalate the case so I would just hold tight for now. There may be a hold on that money now in the seller's account which may be frustrating to them but I doubt that there is anything that you can do about that until the phone is received.
One thing that you might want to check with paypal is how long they will keep the claim open without automatically closing it. I don't know if they have a timeline regarding that.
It would have been easier in the long run if you had communicated with the seller first before opening any sort of claim so keep that in mind the next time you have a problem. Sometimes the only option is opening a claim through ebay or paypal but that isn't necessarily the best thing to do.

It is usually 20 days.
