You need to move the listings from eBay.CA to eBay.COM to switch currency.

Switching to eBay.COM -- shipping is the biggest challenge since Canada Post is not a shipping choice (you use the generic -- Shipping from outside US instead).

If the bulk relist to dotCOM doesn't work, just go to dotCOM and set up a template.

Do a few listings every day for the next 31 days, closing the dotCA ones as you go.

That way you will always have some item opening and closing every single day.

I find that my sales (in very different fields than yours) are stronger on items that have just relisted or which are just about to be relisted.

YMMV.

Have you looked carefully into Seller Protection for digital products? It's not very good.
