I just purchased a speaker on ebay. I paid paypal. The deal seems almost too good to be true since it cost $90usd plus shipping for a $1500 speaker. The ad stated that the pictures were all taken by the seller. As soon as I purchased the item I noticed another ad placed by a different ebay user for the exact same item using the exact same pictures. The item's origin is China. Should I be concerned?
Thanks

Yep.
There is a very good chance that the speakers don't actually exist.
It is also possible that one of the two sellers stole the pictures from the other.
Or that they are in Cahoots. (A smallish city in Yunan province, I understand.)
For the moment, you can only ask the seller for the date of shipping, the service used and the TRACKING NUMBER.
The last is not really important to you but it tells the seller you didn't just fall off the turnip truck.
Then you have to wait .
Perhaps the seller will cancel the sale. Leave appropriate feedback.
Perhaps he will give a false tracking number. Report this to eBay and open a Dispute.
Perhaps he will ship and you will get exactly what you paid for-- which might not be what you think you bought*.
Perhaps nothing will arrive by the promised date. Open a Dispute with eBay or Paypal and get a full refund.
*Was it really a speaker? Or was it a picture of a speaker? Or the box the speaker came in? Read the listing again carefully on a desktop or laptop.

Hello 'mike8277',
<< seems almost too good to be true . . . item's origin is China. Should I be concerned?>>
Haha, yes! You know what they say about deals that "seem too good to be true".
Is this by any chance for a QSC KW152 Active Powered Full Range Speaker 1000 Watts ? There have been about 6 of these listed from the same place in China recently, all from new sellers with zero feedback. Obviously it's the same guy. (And of course, the 2 Americans whose auctions garnered the more realistic price, because those items probably do exist, unlike the ones you bought.)
One could suppose that the items are simply hotter than a cowpoke's shootin' iron, but even at that, a thief would know the item's value and want more than $35 - $89, certainly if they retail for around $1500.
If you ever receive the item you think you bought I'll eat my laptop. Ultimately you will have to file a claim to get your money back. The following link tells you how to proceed:
http://pages.ebay.ca/help/buy/item-not-received.html#notreceived
You have 30 days to file a claim through ebay's Resolution Center, http://resolutioncenter.ebay.ca/ but there is no point in waiting that long if you don't want to, not in this instance.
Best of luck

I would think it is for the "cover" only. I did a quick search and the title on some are very deceiving , it states speaker but in fact in small print it is the cover. Best case is you will get the cover for the speaker you thought you ordered. There are a few in the US listed the same way.
