Today I got a package sent back to me that I shipped via small packets on Sept 3.

I shipped it to someone in the US, and used EST, dropped it AT THE POST OFFICE, and instead of sending it to my buyer, they shipped it to ME!!

I mean, the package weighs like 50g, I sent it sm packet ground...addy is correct and corfirmed, like...WTH???

Ever happen to any of you?!?

That's why I use a yellow hi-liter to highlight the address of the customer on the EST label. I didn't start doing that because of problems I've had with the EST labels, but problems I've had with ordinary letters and non-EST parcels I've sent in the past. I make sure that if the postie looks at the label the first thing they notice is the "To:" address.

It's not only Canada Post's employees I worry about mis-reading the label, it's any other countries' postal service employees that have to look at those labels and quickly figure out what they're supposed to be reading and what they're supposed to be ignoring.

Cheers,
Ernie.

Canada Post employees have a difficult time reading, I regularily (every few weeks) receive mail destined for my neighbours.

I also use a single shipping label with both the "ship to" and "from" addresses on the same label, I went to highliting the ship to section very quickly after getting several packages returned to me. Seems silly as a small packet with a customs form obviously would not be mailed to a domestic address.

.....I took the packages back to the postal outlet, after explaning they simply rolled their eyes and resent them without having to pay for more postage.

i had one return to me because i need another 5 cents; another came back to me becasue they think the postage was not enough, i bought it back to the post office and they simply re-drop it in the bag.

OK, I took the highlighter suggestion!

What I don't understand...I sent that package on the 3rd. It took 15 days to get to ME.

Did I mention...the postal outlet is across the street?
