One of those rare moments in life

That is pretty cool .. Thats like looking out my front door .. 3 niegbors down they have a pet fox .. We have a family of racoons and my neighbor to the left is the one with the beavers everywhere as he live right on the lake that has 2 beaver families there . I have had a family of 7 racoons living in my garage for almost 2 years now they don't mind me or the wife but once i lewt my dogs out or my kid is qwith me they are gone and won't swee them again for about a month ..

I was going to get them taken away but one day i was working on the garage and a baby fell out of the attic so I grabbed a blanket to keep it warm and grabbed some scraps from, the fridge and when i got back from grabbin the food the momma came down to pick the baby up so I fed them both and then a few months later i met the whole family and now there my buddies and i don't want to get them taken away because racoons are not usually like these ones .. one day I went in the garage to do an oil change and I was under the car and then HELLO baby racoon came to see me under the care and chilled out for like 5 minutes with me until i finished ..

The only thing I can't do it hold any of them .. I can pet 3 babies and the mom and 3 babies still don't like me but they'll come around and i only see them every few months and never in the winter ...

It is so strange how some animal are made out to be vicious  and really there not vicious just protective or scared and skiddish ...

I have a lot of animals where I live. No beavers though, unless I go down to the river.

Racoons are 'cute' and I won't disturb a nest, but when they get old enough I live trap them and take them to the woods and give then a happy home. They get into my barns and driveshed and do a lot of damage. Squirrels (aka tree rats) are the same. I have about 35 walnut trees on my property and it attracts them. Three or four are ok and I like them being around, but when it gets to 6 or 10 they get too destructive in the barns and other buildings. Just this morning I was in the shed I have my lawnmower and other outside tools and my ATV in. A squirrel chewed it's way through a corner of the 'new' shed and got in (this is just in the last 7 days) and then chewed through the wires that lead from my solar battery chargers to my ATV and riding lawnmower. It's winter and they have their nests made so I won't disturb them....but come spring....I'll cutting down the population and giving them another home in another forest where they can meet new friends and live happily ever after. As will I.
