Good morning eBayers,
This is regarding a purchase off eBay but thought it might be helpful to post it here anyways. I recently placed an order with a boutique in Florida; the item was shipped promptly and tracking was updated. The tracking followed the package for 3 days til it wound up at the sort facility in Miami ("Arrived at sort facility"), then tracking was not updated for 10 days! I contacted the store owner and she assured me that it was just not fully tracked but was en route to Canada from the sort facility, and to wait a full 3 weeks for the package to arrive.
So I waited 3 weeks and the tracking still had not updated even once, then right on the 3rd week mark, it updated as having arrived in the United Kingdom! It doesn't say where, just that it arrived in the UK. This makes no sense as it was supposed to come from the US to me in Canada. So again, contacted the store and asked her to confirm that the package was personally shipped from the boutique to me with my correct address on file etc etc, yes it was all good. But no explanation or idea as to why it suddenly ended up in the UK, and just told me to keep on waiting.
USPS tracking has been down for the last 4 days, for me anyways, and I have been unable to track any of my US packages, it keeps telling me "Tracking info unavailable for this product for UNITED KINGDOM." So I don't know where this package is now or what's going on.
Does this make any sense, on any level?

None whatsoever, not to me at least. Sometimes a tracking number will indicate that an item is at a sort facility
and not move from there because that was the last time it was checked in anywhere. When I have items coming up
from the US, I often find I get a better indication of where it is when I use the Canada Post site:

I sure hope that UK thing is a mistake. Haha, -- and not that someone at the Miami facility genuinely believes
that Canada is in the UK!
But at least you know the parcel is on its way -- somewhere -- and you have a number to follow it around and see if it
ever makes its way to you. The seller did mail it, and if she too sees it arrived in the UK, is wrongly delivered, and
never gets sent to you, ever, she will understand your eventual request for a refund.
For now, though, let's hope it's just a computer read-out mistake.

It does not but I can tell you right now that one of my items destined for UK is currently sitting in Edmonton which is the opposite direction of the way it is supposed to travel. Normally, I would attribute that to a mail-mix up but this gives me cause for concern: http://www.ecommercebytes.com/C/blog/blog.pl?/pl/2016/3/1459115344.html

Believe it or not, in the past, it happened to me 3 times: one item was sent to Japan, the other to UK, and the last one to Spain. But they all found their way to me. My guess is that my small packages were stuck on bigger packages for some reason, and that's why they were sent to the wrong country at first.
If you paid by PayPal and you don't receive your package in about 2 weeks though, open an INR claim.

Hopefully the store wrote Canada after the postal code and not before it, as the Canadian postal codes look a lot like the UK postal codes.
A friend in the US sent me a Christmas card - they forgot to write Canada, just had the postal code - it went to the UK - someone there wrote on the envelope "Try Canada" and it arrived here in late Feb.
