Punitive photo policy discourages compliance

All of a sudden, after more than a decade of selling successfully on eBay, I keep getting told that my photos don't comply with eBay "policy."

But when I get this message and am prevented from listing, eBay WILL NOT TELL ME WHICH PHOTO or PHOTOS need to be replaced.

This is stupid, punitive, rude and disrespectful to community members who have been good sellers for years and want to correct deficiencies in their listings.

Why should I have to play a half-hour guessing game to see if any of my photos comply? This is ridiculous when you put 12 photos on an item.

I think eBay has finally pushed me out because I don't see how I can ever re-list items without starting al;l over again. Doesn't anyone at HQ THINK about the impact of so-called "policies" before they impose them?

I know this isn't the response you were looking for however the photo requirements are explained here.

http://pages.ebay.com/sellerinformation/sellingresources/picturestandards.html

The changes were announced over a year ago in order to give sellers time to comply.

This post would get more responses on the "Seller Central Discussion Board" than in the Answer Centre

You also have the opportunity to discuss the matter with eBay Staff most Wednesdays between 1pm & 2pm Toronto Time on this board here
