This is my first time using this, please forgive me if I make a mistake. Yesterday I purchased two pairs of shoes. The both listings well, all of her listings stated free Internationl shipping. I decided what the heck, why not, I offered and a few hours later she accepted but then charged me $15 U.S. For the first pair, Although it explicitly states/she explicitly stated that it's free. Right after I messaged her, and ask if she's going to charge for the second pair of shoes (although she listed it as free shipping) to please cancel the bid for the second pair. I was ignored, and she bundled both shoes together, (I had no objections) but then added a $25 shipping fee when both shoes were listed as free shipping. I asked if she could readjust the bill, and if so I will pay immediatley. She hasn't responded and I wasn't sure what to do. I reported both items as reading other people's stories, this is similar. She broke eBays policy and charged after the fact to recoup and make extra money. Are there any suggestions you guys have? I'm just very scared about my feedback. I've tried to be courteous but she continues to ignore me. I'm not willing to pay $25 us for shipping when both items had free shipping. Please Advise and thanks in advance everyone.
Chris

"Are there any suggestions you guys have?
If you are 100% confident that your understanding of "free shipping" is correct, ignore the situation until the seller agrees to ship the shoes with no additional charge
I'm just very scared about my feedback"
Forget about that. Sellers cannot leave neutral or negative feedback for buyers.

After the bill was sent the shipping price adjusted. If you look at other listings they were just like this one, offering free shipping. Thanks for the help. P.S. Even on my Seperate bills it states free shipping but...she charged me for it. I still didn't pay.

On the two listing numbers, I cannot get any shipping cost to show for any country. Just shipping cannot be calcualte. So I do not know why this is happening to me.
If I check the sellers other active listings, for example 161430362109, I see $15 for shipping within the US and Free Shipping to Canada, and Indonesia as well.
So the active listings shows exactly what you said. It seems like a seller mistake in setting up the listings. Seller has 82 feedback with only 9 as a seller. Description is very short 1-2-3 lines. So I suspect they are just inexperienced in selling and setting up a listing shipping properly and just selling items around the house. Selling on eBay is not that easy despite how eBay portrays itself to members as being a way to sell your old items for money.
Technically you are right they should not be charging more for shipping after the sale.
Being a seller myself who has made a mistake like that, I sympathize with the seller. But I would ship out at the terms and take a loss.
What to do? Don't pay. Ask the seller to cancel the sale. Leave neutral feedback if you are nice because the seller does not have much experience. Or be tougher and leave a negative.
PS Wait a few days before leaving feedback. Other forum readers might see something else in the listing I did not. Get a few more opinions. Like in any disagreement, do not things in anger or frustration. Wait and do things calmly.

When I checked the other listings from that seller, I did see "free shipping" so I understand why you're thinking you shouldn't be charged for it. But it IS obvious that the seller made a mistake, because why would anyone charge $15 for domestic USPS, but give it away for free on the international sales? If this was my transaction, I say let's meet in the middle. and pay $15 - if I really loved the shoes, it would be worth it to me. You might not feel as generous as I do, OP...but I've been buying here for 10 years, and I'd want the good karma to keep rolling my way, lol. I've made a few mistakes myself, and I've always appreciated the sympathetic treatment I received.

It's been like that with all ended listings for the past week. Even when I look at my own ended listings there is no shipping price. I can see the shipping costs in relist or sell similar mode but not when I look at an ended listing in the usual way. I hope that it is just a temporary glitch. I had planned to ask about it on Wednesday but forgot.

If Free shipping is what attracted you to the listings then it is not fair to you as a buyer to pay for it after your bid was accepted.
,also a rookie seller might send those shoes with UPS thinking it's easier or faster or whatever.you just don't know what else is going to change on you.It would makes perfect sense to cancel both purchase ,there's no sentiment in business,.
I personally would rather give her a second try and get her to send me an email via ebay ,saying exactly how much she is going to charge, what shipper she's going to use,how much the total will be,and pay her exactly that .

It is clear the seller does NOT know how to list.
The relist of the shoes (161435012088) at the price of $50 shows $15 shipping within the USA and "free" to Canada.
It would be best for you to give up and find a seller who knows how to list and ship to Canada.
