Seller won't provide shipping quote because her auction starts at 99 cents.

I asked a seller for a shipping quote on a keyboard because she agreed to ship it via first class usps mail rather than priority, but when I asked her for a shipping quote with her handling fees attached this is what she said to me:

No can do, sorry but I'm not going to waste my time to figure out the shipping on a .99 cent item. You can contact ebay shipping to see what they will charge you. My charge is only $12.95 and according to USPS the rate would be $17.00 to Canada. Item will ship to Kentucky Ebay ship center and from there I don't see additional charges, have no idea what Ebay is charging.
I hope you know that Im not making any money on this item, more or less I just need to move the item thus if it sells at .99 cents you WIN regardless! Yes I'm having an emotional say and Im sorry if you think I'm rude, don't mean to be.

I can't believe a seller that won't provide a shipping quote.  This item has been relisted several times, now I know why it isn't selling.  She seems to think because her item starts at 99 cents that it's free.  Well shipping is certainly not free, and she was asking over $30.00 for priority shipping. There is no way I am going to bid on an item without knowing what the shipping cost will be.  If she is making no money, the better thing for her to do is throw the dam thing out, and stop pissing off her customers lol.

This part of the board is FOR sellers. You should have posted your rant in the buyer central part. I can understand where she is coming from because this is SELLER CENTRAL. As for shipping, it is whatever she is asking. If you don't want to pay it, then don't bid on the item.

Other people on here may come to your defense, but I have been told (by other members here) that people who bid on .99 cent auctions are bottom feeders who complain too much. Guess they were right.

Well that was kind of rude, I am a seller that's why I put it here.  I didn't say I had a problem with the cost, she won't give me one, that's the problem I am having with her.  Excuse the bleep out of me if you don't want people posting in "your" section!!  And it is a problem with a seller anyway, so it belongs here.  I have seen many sellers complain about buyers in this section, so why can't I complain about a problem I am having with a USA seller here?

Are you sure you are a seller?  You are quite rude.  Just because an auction starts at 99 cents does not mean it's something cheap.  I will have you know it's a microsoft wireless keyboard 6000, which is not something that is cheap.

If it is that great of an item then why complain about the shipping? Just pay it.

One more thing.  I noticed you have some auctions starting at 99 cents, so I guess the people that bid on your stuff are bottom feeders?  I think they would love to know what you are calling them.  To me a buyer is a buyer no matter what they pay for something, to say that some of your buyers are bottom feeders is just rude for an "eBay" seller to say.

You still don't get the point of my post, please stop responding if you don't understand.

I get your point....

Sounds like the seller is using the GSP program, they can't ship it to you direct under GSP it has to go through Pitney-Bowes in Kentucky.

Sounds like a seller you don't want to deal with, they probably don't have a clue what they are doing.

You can't read. I said that people on here would defend you, the same people who have called buyers like you bottom feeders. I never said it...other sellers on here have said it.

If you don't like the response you get, positive or negative, then don't post here. Especially when complaining from a buyers point of view in Seller Central.
