Re: Selling items

Unfortunately,eBay will never impose any sort of limit on the total number of any one type of item that can be listed on eBay.They are, after all,out to make money just like you. Those listing fees do add up to a very healthy amount.

Re: Selling items

Hello 'stancad',

There's lots of everything on ebay, - that's the point. 🙂  Is this for the necklace with the initial J?  That's something there, -- if it were my listing, in the title I would remove the word "beautiful" and substitute the word "initial".  Which may make no difference at all, but the title words are what will come up in a search, and no one searches the word "beautiful".  You can put it in the listing description.

And what about the word "necklace", - can you fit that in there? How 'bout taking the quotation marks off the J, and removing the "with a"?  If I were looking for one of those, I would search "silver necklace initial J", which I expect would bring up lots to choose from.  Only it doesn't bring up yours.

Anyway, it's a slow time for all sellers right now.  They're all saying the same thing, those online and on land.  Walk into shops in your neighbourhood, they'll tell you the stuff isn't moving off the shelf like usual.

Re: Selling items

Okay, 'stancad', I've got another one for ya. 😄  Is there any reason why you only have one picture per listing?  Those Japanese figurines look very nice, - but is there a reason why you have not included a photo of the underside to show a backstamp, if any?  Can you turn them around a bit and get photos of different angles?  For that matter, - can you get better quality photos?

And that Chinese vase is lovely.  Can you get a better picture of it?  I ask because when an item is blurry in a photo it leads people to believe that there is something "wrong" with the item which the seller does not wish to disclose.  Photos are sooooo important when selling any item, particularly one like that because it is a 'visual' thing whose only real purpose is to be looked at. 🙂

People buying porcelain ware  like to see all sides of an item, including the underside.  What does the jar look like without the lid, what do the figurines look like at the back, - that sort of thing.
