Someone sent me an invoice but said the shipping charges were wrong and asked me to just pay another amount. How do you do that?

Someone sent me an invoice which I had requested, but said after that they had entered the wrong amount for the shipping costs.  Instead of revising the invoice they asked me to just send them another amount.  I don't think they knew  how to change the invoice.  I know they had charged me too little for the shipping, but how do you change an amount yourself when paying?  They told me to just go ahead and pay, which I did because I had no idea how to give them more than what the invoice stated?  I have never encountered this before.  If anyone has an answer, please let me know.

You can't change the amount yourself.  Haha, good thing, or imagine the fun some dodgy people would have.  Is your seller in Canada?  If so, this is the link to send to the seller:

http://pages.ebay.ca/help/pay/checkout-invoices.html#invoice

But if the seller is American, basically the same thing but people like their own links from the ebay they actually use.  It's here:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/pay/checkout-invoices.html#invoice

Be sure to explain to your seller that the way to revise the invoice is not to click 'Recalculate'.  That doesn't work, - it takes him back to square one.  To revise an invoice, enter the new shipping amount, then Preview, then Send.

If you paid , seller needs to refund your payment and then send a correct one. Can't send a revised for the difference.

For small amounts that you may not be concerned about Buyer Protection can use PayPal send money. Seller's PayPal email address is in "details" of the payment made. Do not choose eBay item as 2 payments cancels Buyer Protection. For reason sending. Select services and explain in note.
