Hi .. Its not unusual for eBay to send a " Congrats" email on a first purchase. It usually will say Congrats ( your registered name).

Will send others like ..you are on your way to receiving that yellow feedback star etc.

Hello 'summer',

You're not bothered by that word 'won', are you?  As in, thinking you 'won' the item and don't need to pay for it?  Like the way some gimmicks we see about will tell us we can 'win gasoline for a year', that sort of thing?

On ebay, winning and buying are roughly synonymous terms, -- do either and you are expected to pay.  But since ebay thinks spending is loads of fun, or at least want us to feel that way, it is to be expected they will always couch their messages in this type of wording.

Could be worse, you tell yourself. 😉
