You are protected three ways.
By eBay-- You have up to 30 days after delivery (or last estimated date for delivery) to open a Dispute with eBay. The seller is required to send you a Return Shipping Label. When the item shows it is returned, you will be refunded.
By Paypal-- You have up to 180 days after payment to open a Dispute with Paypal. You are required to return the unwanted item on your own dime.
By your credit card-- The most secure (and fastest) method of payment is to back your PP account with a credit card. This also means you have the protection of your card's chargeback policy.

Stolen products should also be reported to the seller's local police force and your own. Get a report number.
