Nope they sure aren't. That's way for the first time in many years I have zero listings. May add afew off and on over the summer but my time is better spent elsewhere.

I ran into this, oh, shoot, years back when they still had a fully staffed Vancouver office. The promo had backwards wording that basically said auto parts were and were not included and that anyone listing would and would not get free listings based on living in or not living in Canada.

It went back and forth. I personally talked to Toronto, Vancouver, dot com, and Motors in the US, Four different stories. Motors in the US told me to talk to Canadian Motors, which has never existed.

Thing was, they kept on using the same wording in future promos.

How long have they been gone from Vancouver? It was before that.

Things may get a lot worse before getting better.  Revenue for Ebay must be suffering..........time will tell.  Who ever thought of eliminating 1 and 3 day listings from the promo events and now eliminating fixed listings from certain categories is out of touch on how to improve sales for sellers who rely on promos. This reminds me of my favorite Human Resources saying.  The floggings will continue until morale improves. For this example it would read.  The floggings will continue until sales improve.

eBay is doing just fine. Their global revenues, across all platforms was $203 BILLION, yes, with a "B". for 2013.

This little miniscule site that we list on? It is a loss leader gateway into the Mother Ship.

While researching the story about Vancouver layoffs, I came across this gem:

"When asked by Oakland TV station KTVU about accusations from independent expenditure committee Level the Playing Field 2010 that Whitman received millions at eBay while laying off workers, Whitman responded that "There were some individuals who didn't meet our standards and they had to be let go, there were no l....""

Speak truthfully - eBay style!

ALL employees in Vancouver were laid off (except for a handful transferred to Toronto).  They "did not meet our standards"?

I find Whitman's comments very ironic!  They could have at least lay off those unqualified customer service representatives which have accents or cannot understand English!!  I used IP (Internet Phone) and the IP operators told me that they have accent and some of them don't even understand English!!  I had to hang up and called again to get the "right" person.

Also many of them don't have full knowledge or have right answers to respond when we called them.

Lastly, Whitman shouldn't continue to earn $$$$million while laying them off!  What a crock!

I got to meet Meg Whitman and chat with her. She was nicer than she needed to be, to me.
