Hi, this is Lilybean.

One of my top priorities is to make shipping easier and faster for Canadian sellers. As you know, we introduced the eBay/PayPal shipping tool to the Canadian community back in February 2006, enabling you to purchase and print Canada Post and UPS shipping labels and customs forms (for US and international shipments) directly from My eBay or PayPal.

I would like to learn more about your experience or non-experience with the eBay/PayPal shipping tool to-date. I am continually looking to make the eBay/PayPal shipping tool more accessible and beneficial to Canadian sellers, and I am encouraging you to provide me with information on your tool usage to-date to help me further simplify shipping for you.

For those sellers who have tried the eBay/PayPal shipping tool, can you please describe:
- your top 3 reasons for using the label printing service?
- your top 3 dislikes about the label printing service?
- which features currently not available through the tool would make you use the label printing service more that you are currently using it?

For those sellers who have yet to try the tool, can you please describe:
- why you have not printed shipping labels through eBay/PayPal?
- what eBay can do to encourage you to use the label printing service at least once?

hi Lilybean,

I'm a ebay.ca seller, recently I found there are more options of shipping added to ebay.ca (16 options in 4 categories), to save shipping fee, I listed with shipping free for Economy Shipping and charge a $3 for Expedited Parcel. after item was sold, I click on 'printing shipping label' and it goes to paypal log in, which is same as before, however, on paypal pages, I can not find the shipping option of Economy Shipping, there are still only 3 shipping methoes as before (Xresspost, Expedited and regular), so, how can I print Canada Post Economy Shipping?

I called paypal and ebay.ca twice, no body can help me, what they did is tranfering phone call from paypal to ebay.ca or from ebay.ca to paypal.

can you help me to find solution? if those new shippings are not authorized in paypal, why ebay page appears those options and let us to pick up?

As for Economy Shipping, it means that you would ship with real stamps, same with Standard Shipping.

What I love about PayPal Shipping is that it is ideal for me as I am mobility limited and cannot go out at any time to shop, to drop off any mail, etc, etc., only about once a month, sometimes more to medical appointments. I can check for information for shipping costs before I can list any items with the right shipping costs. I cannot rely on the Canada Post website as they are not reliable as they tend to have different information from day to day, I even printed them for 5th days in a row and can see the difference each time, so no good with Canada Post website.

Another thing positive thing with PayPal Shipping is that I can work on it 24/7 at any time in my PJs. LOL!!

What eBay can offer to our sellers, is to offer discounts on Expedited and XpressPost mail service. I am very disappointed that we no longer have 25% discount on Expedited, it is reduced to 14% from 25% this year, not very happy!!!

Tracked Packet is way too expensive now that Canada Post removed the insurance from small packets air. I rely on small packets air all the time for years until this year and now we are at risk and we pray that all my items would be arrived and that we don't get more "scammers".

No, it is a generic term, it doesn't mean that you are using any specific service.

Expedited was changed to 18%, Tracked packet has a 14% discount.

The most annoying about PayPal Shipping is that when we made error(s) with purchasing the shipping labels on PayPal Shipping and want refunds and we had to wait "forever" for refunds. Sometimes never received any refunds. In fact, I did made an error and want a refund and made another shipping label, more than 2 months and I still didn't received a refund.

It happened way too often in the past, I suspect that PayPal (Canada Post) owes me a lot of $$$ in refunds for that PayPal never got around to refund me.

Why is that PayPal (Canada Post) is able to take my money right away after I purchased any shipping label but cannot refund me "right away" if we made error(s)??

That area needs to be fixed right away and that we can receive our refunds "right away" not "forever" like I have been experienced the last 5 years and in fact PayPal still owe me a lot of $$ and where can I get that all refunds for sure??? Thanks.

As pointed out in post 3, the original post was made in 2006 so you are not going to get an answer from lilybean.

I doubt though that you are going to get a refund from years ago but you should phone paypal about the label cancelled a couple of months ago.

The question is why do we have to call PayPal for refund?? Why can't they automatically refund it at any time? Did they hope that we would "forget" about those refunds and they get to keep them??? Just wonder!! That is how I feel each time!!
