how do I just sell on Ebay.com and not sell on Ebay.ca anymore? They are forcing us to sell in Can $

I sell on Ebay.ca and Ebay.com right now (all USD). If I want to just sell on Ebay.com can I just close my Canadian store without any issues? Or do I need to transfer them somehow to Ebay.com even though they are already selling there. My account always defaults back to the Ebay.ca when I am listing items for sale ("sell similar item") or printing shipping labels. I assume I will have to print labels from Paypal now, as there is no link for shipping on Ebay.com for Canadapost. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Your store is your store is your store.

You can list on dotCOM by going to dotCOM and clicking on Sell at the top of the page. (No idea how to do this with TurboLister, if you bother with that.)

No need to make a new Store.

Your US customers see your USD price in a dotCOM Search and both your CDN and USD price on the listing when you list on dotCA.  So no worries there.

Your Canadian customers will see your CDN price in a dotCOM Search, and both USD and CDN prices when they see the listing.

(For that matter your European customers will see your price in euros when they Search on a European site.)

The Search in other words shows the price based on the customer's location.

Yes. Just as Canadian sellers on dotCOM have to use Paypal for labels now.

And those sneaky Chinese sellers have been doing all along.

Small bonus, PP will tell you if your customer's payment has not arrived or if it has not cleared. This can be useful from time to time.

Since PP sends you an email when the payment clears, you can go to PP directly from that email, although I prefer, as a security thing, to log in directly from my own bookmark.

It's not clear to me what will happen with USD priced lots in dotCA Stores come the day.

It is probably wise, if you need Canada Post Calculated Shipping for your items, to start transitioning 20-25 listings a day to CDN dollars if that is your decision or ending them and relisting on dotCOM if the shipping will work out.

You have two months for this.

And of course, any new stock should go directly to the site you decide works best for your Store.

I'd like to repeat that in my opinion, and I have lots of opinions, some offered in wholesale bundles, the big question for sellers is less the currency one, than the shipping.

Most of my lots can be shipped FlatRate (LetterPost or LightPacket), so there is no reason not to move them to dotCOM.

Your lots are bulkier, and you should be looking at the question of regional shipping and dimensional rates when you make your decision.

Cool stuff, by the way!
