I have sent an invoice but would like to change it as the shipping costs have gone down after taking it to the post office. I can't seem to figure out how to do this.

If the buyer has not paid yet, the easy way (I am lazy and always look for the easy way) is to go to the email you received from eBay confirming the transaction and click on the "Send an Invoice" link.
Enter the correct (lower) shipping charge and send. Do NOT click on recalculate.
If the buyer has paid already, and I suspect the buyer has paid since you have been to the post office already, you cannot send a revised invoice. You need to go to PayPal, find the transaction "details", and send a refund, using the "refund" link, for the difference.

If you are sending an invoice and have to make changes do NOT hit Recalculate.

As in: Do NOT hit the big red button in front of you marked "Launch".
I sure wish they'd remove that "Recalculate" option on the seller's side. Oh how many times have I found my finger hovering over it, just about to click, then .... OH, no, don't do it!
