Hi there,
Is is me or eBay traffic has slowed down more than usual for summertime ?
Does this have anything to do with having to choose between eBay.ca or ebay.com ?
I am having the worst Summer since I started selling on eBay ... just wondering.

Many Canadians (and others) have been on a "buying strike" since mid June in anticipation of a possible mail strike (or other postal disruption).

I concur. I cite the threat of a looming postal strike/lockout for it.
My sales are about 25 per cent of what they normally would be at this time of year based on the last three years, and half of those sales (seriously) have gone to unpaid item cases or cancel order requests which tells me that children are shopping on summer vacation while their parents are doing other things.
I did, however, have a blip yesterday that saw my sales numbers for the first day in August exceed what I had for the entire month of July. So, that was nice. And a bit of a surprise. Two of those orders were actually paid and therefore shipped!
Since I didn't want to run a repeat of the last CSR debacle trying to prove Aug. 1 is a Long Weekend in Manitoba and therefore not applicable to a late shipment defect for acceptance scan not on time.
Yay.
