i was sent an email fom a seller saying i did not pay for an item , and it will go against me for future ordering,

i did not buy this itme ,i had it on my watch list. i am new here and have ordered with good results,  please help me to resolve this issue.marlene

You better check your purchase history because if you just had that item on your watch list there is no way the seller knew who you were in order to send you an email.

You must have used the Buy It Now instead of watch list. You need to pay or get an unpaid item strike.

The seller would not have your address if you were only Watching the item.

So evidently you bought it accidentally.

Start by using Contact Seller on the listing, or simply replying politely to the seller explaining that you are a newbie and what you thought you were doing. Apologize for the mistake and ask for a Mutual Cancellation.

If he agrees both of you are released from the transaction, he gets his fees back and both can leave feedback. Feedback is voluntary. The most effective feedback is calm and factual.

But he does not have to agree. He may, as he told you, start an Unpaid Item Dispute. If you do not pay while that is open, you get a Strike against your account which may Block you from bidding with thousands of sellers, probably most. You will not be able to leave feedback. The seller gets his fees back.

Please be careful in future about bidding and watching. Your sellers pay upwards of 20% of each sale to eBay and Paypal as selling fees (FVF).

the rude seller I am referring to,he was trying to force me to buy from him ,I enede up buying and paying or the item ,he sent me an email saying I did not pay and it will go against me on ebay
