when a sellers listing states no international shipping would it be inappropriate for me to contact them to see if they would?

Hello everyone! I usually do my browsing on ebay.ca but occasionally go on ebay.com. A lot of sellers on ebay.com do not sell internationally. Would it be innapropriate of me to contact a seller about wether they would consider shipping to Canada or should I just leave it alone? Thank-you!

By all means, contact the seller and ask. Quite often they say yes, and that they simply never thought of including Canada, or they may prefer to ship within their own borders but will make an exception for you. And if the seller declines, well, thank her anyway and who knows, - if she gets enough requests she may change and start shipping to Canada.
If, however, you find yourself blocked with the dialogue box that won't let you post your question, - it means the seller has indeed considered shipping internationally and decided firmly against it, blocking pesky inquiries from foreigners. Her loss, - and another seller gets your money instead.
Good luck. 🙂
