why can't I see who is bidding

when I look on the bidders on some sales why can't I see who is bidding how do I know its not the owner that is bidding it up

It's been a number of years since bidder names were shown on auctions (privacy legislation).

For your worry look up shill bidding in help. Or for your peace of mind ignore auctions and use BIN only.

Because it is none of your business who else is bidding in an auction.

Your name is only visible to yourself and to the seller.
