zero feedback

No,I'm afraid that you can't block a buyer just for having 0 feedback. If you have non paying buyers you should be opening unpaid item disputes against them. Then, when they still don't pay,you close the disputes and give the non paying buyers strikes. You can set up your buyer requirements to automatically block any member who has accumulated 2 or more strikes in the last 12 months. here is how to set up buyer requirements.

zero feedback

Hello 'dolamighty',

Most sellers send a pleasant reminder note at the end of day 3, and if still no word from the buyer, open the dispute at the end of day 4, then close it 4 days after that.  The buyer gets an Unpaid strike, you get your fees back, and no one leaves feedback.

As a seller you can, of course, remove any bid for any reason, and you can subsequently block any bidder for any reason.  So start by setting yourself up to block people with 2 or more Unpaid Item strikes.  Some folks will tell you to block anyone without an actual paypal account, although they don't do it themselves because they don't want to miss a sale.  There are a lot of credit cards being used by responsible payers.  If, however, you find you are inundated with non-paying zero-feedback newbies you might give it a try.  But as anyone who has done that can tell you, it will not solve your non-payer problem.

If you like auctions because you are hoping for that bidding war at the end when your item fetches more than it is worth, then non-payers are a part of auction life on ebay.  The only way to have no more non-payers ever is to set your listings as Fixed Price with immediate payment required.  That way you wouldn't really have to block anybody but would always get paid for every item.  It's the only way, because if you want auctions you will get non-payers.  How much time you choose to put into fretting and fuming about it is up to you.
