Is anyone else having this issue lately? In a timeline of 1 week, I have had two separate purchases, (from the US using the GSP ), from different sellers stuck in transit (Mississauga) now going on 3 and 4 weeks. (I'm only 6 hours away from Miss) No updating.
I opened up Canada Post service tickets. All they said was wait a week. Still nothing. I checked and rechecked my address info on ebay and paypal. Everything is a go. I informed Ebay and they were most helpful in returning my funds, but when you are looking forward to some treasures you found and amazing deals, it's soooo disappointing.
It seriously makes me hesitate to purchase anything and count on it arriving at all. 😞

The item is travelling to its destination. It will remain in this state until it arrives at the final processing location. Typically, the final processing scan occurs on the expected delivery date or the day before at the local delivery facility. Check this date to know when we will attempt delivery.

Yes it tracks it from the Seller's town, to Canada on Feb. 2, where it's still in transit.
Here is the tracking on USPS.

I remember the other day you posted about PB fraud, and posted the alternative ebay CS number to get truth about the GSP. I called the number to ask about this stuff, and what you said was true. The REP admitted that PB is overcharging people on shipments. She said Pitney is charging fees for items that shouldn't have them as well. She went on to state they are constantly damaging packages and pulling parts out of the packages to lighten them to reduce their shipping costs too. The REP said they are bombarded with calls because of all this and more. You mentioned too in your post that they're changing companies in July. I asked about this too. The REP admitted that Pitney Bowes is doing illegal things, and they are going to be changing companies for forwarding service in July. You were right, and PB is doing illegal stuff. The law should be getting involved in stopping this.

I have been saying all along that the program is a money theft scam. Pitney Bowes and EBAY are stealing money from buyers, that simple. The 5 cheerleaders on here who are constantly defending the GSP are obviously in on it as well in some capacity. There is no **bleep**in way these people would continuously defend this fraud for 7 years straight unless they were financially connected to it in some way. Anyone here with basic common sense skills can see that. This Pitney Bowes fraud needs to taken to the authorities, and this scumbag company needs to be taken out of business. These pieces of **bleep** are straight up criminals.

Since those actions would lead to Not As Described disputes and since Pitney Bowes has been reported as refunding NAD disputes without arguement, including all their fees, you will forgive me if I treat your post as imaginative.
However, if you think this is happening, you can report it to this group as an instance of mail/internet fraud.

I couldn't find it on the PB tracking, but I plugged in UPAA tracking and it came up... I will add the tracking here. Every item is just like this. I am at odds. I'm quite sure GSP did their job, it's just in Mississauga mail depot it doesn't get out of transit. (Seems to bounce back)??

Thank you so much for that link. The information really does give a clearer picture of what's been going on here.
Okay, so your item was forwarded through the Global Shipping Program, but for some reason it didn't go through the usual channels. I'm going to hypothesize that the Global Shipping Center is staffed largely with minimally trained, minimally paid workers, but somebody figured out that a jewellery shipment was problematic rather than restricted through the program.
Our understanding is that normally, items forwarded through the Global Shipping Program piggyback on commercial freight shipments between Erlanger and Mississauga. They don't travel as mail between the two cities. They get cleared at customs as part of a bulk shipping manifest and it's noted that Pitney Bowes has paid or has made a promise to pay all taxes and duties owing on the items. They go to the Big Mail Centre in Mississauga (or to whatever carrier's big hub is if Canada Post isn't being used) and fired out to their final destination from there.
This isn't what happened with your shipments, by the looks of things. The usual carriers Pitney Bowes uses to get GSP shipments to Canada probably don't accept jewellery for insurance or bonding reasons and the employee(s?) who handled your items went with a mail consolidator (in this case, Globestitics) to get your items to Mississauga instead.
This is problematic from a customs standpoint because you've already repaid Pitney Bowes the taxes and duty owing on the item, but items sent by mail normally have the taxes and duty paid on them by the importer upon receipt. Your package may have gone through customs, but now there might be some confusion about whether taxes and duty are owing on it, particularly if it has a standard GSP shipping label on it with a Canadian return address and no customs information.
This is largely just guesswork on my part, but I seem to recall a similar situation brought to the boards some years ago, so I'm basing my guesses on my memories of that.
Will this get sorted out and will you eventually see your packages if and when it is? I have no idea, I'm afraid.

Hi there, thanks again. I have had no issues in January receiving packages from GSP, it did take a wee bit longer, but they all arrived safely. February and March are becoming another story. It might be for sure like you said, not fully trained personnel or perhaps some new workers, not up to date on all sorting procedures. All we can do is fingers crossed on any future purchases. Several times in the past, I had received a notification of a held up customs purchase, where they needed confirmation of actual amount. This was a bit of a pain, but no where near heartbreaking as not receiving at all.
I have two more items coming in that are a bit late and no updating, we will see what happens with these, until then I will put my purchases on hold for now. 😉

Why does this forum not have an ignore feature, so you can block seeing posts from certain people ? I would sure like to see one implemented so I do not have to see these same 5 or 6 GSP cheerleaders infesting every Global Shipping Program complaint thread with their "Pro GSP" comments. I am tired of seeing it, and so are many others. If people want to read their endless excuses and forever defending of the GSP in every topic, go right ahead. I would rather not see it on my screen any longer.

I am summoning our resident eBay Guru. Tyler can look into this issue and also give you some details on what to do ie; you paid GSP services and were were charged duty/tax. This is a rather unique situation and I don't think the call center agents would be able to help 100%. The Social media supports might, but I'm not 100% sure if you wanna go that route.

Thanks for the tag @retroman_studios!
Hi @love2shoppe4me - I'm coming to this conversation a little late, so I'm not sure if this may have been talked about and is no longer visible, but when you got a refund did that include the amount you were charged by GSP for 'import and custom/duties'?
If you did not receive that as part of your refund, you should have, and you'll want to contact CS directly. As everyone knows, I prefer social media for contact (our teams are really well trained and I just like them in general since I sit right next to them). You can send them a message on Twitter or Facebook and they'll work to get your situation reviewed quickly. Thanks!

Hi there, Yes, In my Paypal activities section, it does show a refund for the Global Shipping charges also., but have yet to receive any payment into my acct, it's 5 days, I am giving it a few more business days before I inquire, to be on the fair side.
Purchase number 4 has now ended up the same way, stuck in Mississauga transit. Another poster had stated here that jewelry is not allowed to be shipped with the Global Shipping. So I took a quick look see. To my surprise, it is for sure not allowed.
http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/shipping-globally.html#shipping Under Prohibited items.
But the odd thing is, I have been purchasing fine jewelry for quite some time using this method GLobal Shipping that the sellers offered. They always made it, with no issues. On the package even stating it's contents and value. But in the last two months, surprisingly it's still making it's way to Canada's postal system, then halted somewhere or perhaps being sent back to KY?
It's heart breaking actually, I have some amazing saved sellers that I buy a lot from, but can't no longer purchase for fear of non delivery.
If there was a way, that prohibited listings for international sales were caught before being accepted for the Global shipping shipping route, this would save a lot of confusion and lost item refunds.
Or if the buyer was given a choice of shipping method, with insurance., international sales would certainly always go through.
Thanks everyone for all your help and concern, in trying to solve the Mystery of the Lost Gold. 🙂

It doesn’t say that all jewellery is prohibited.....only if there are delivery service or customs restrictions. Plus an item not allowed by the gsp would not leave the gsp depot in Kentucky so that isn’t the problem in this case.

I'm not sure whether it would be helpful or not, but the HS code for fine jewelry/precious metal is 7113.19.00.
My question would be whether it is necessary to include words like "necklace, jewelry, parure, etc" if the number were there.
My thinking is that the number tells the customs broker what duties to apply, but does not tell the random part-time carrier that the item has valuable contents.
