Laptop purchased stuck at shipping hub (USA to Canada

Hi everyone,

I purchased a laptop for my father on Dec 17th 2023. The item shipped on Dec 20th via USPS Priority international. The last known activity was on Dec 22nd where it was delivered to an individual at Glendale Heights, IL. I know this is the shipping hub and the item shows as being inspected. I know that the holidays would have slowed down the process of the item clearing customs. But I've also heard of items not going through due to concerns with lithium batteries? The post I read this on said it was for Lithium Ion batteries while the battery of this laptop is Lithium Polymer. Should I be concerned at this point? I don't think I've had an item stuck at inspection for this long. And my father is overly excited to receive it and keeps nagging me on a daily basis lol. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Let's look at a calendar, rather than the number of days.

Dec22 is a Friday.  Expect the plant to be working slowly over the weekend.

Monday is Christmas. Plant closed.

Tuesday is Boxing Day. Plant closed?

So now it is the 27th and the plant has reopened.

First definite working day.

But there will be a lot of work to get through.

From the 27th to the 29th the plant is working then Saturday and Sunday and Monday is New Years Day.

The plant certainly reopened on Tuesday and today is Wednesday.

The plant may have been open as little as five days over the past eleven.

The Lithium battery may be a problem.

I wouldn't trust a conveyor line worker to understand the difference between Lithium Ion and Lithium Polymer batteries.

Best wishes.
