Never received the item - lost in the mail maybe

So, I am a newbie here on ebay buying things and one thing that happened to me is things being lost in the mail.  In the past month 3 items that I bought from ebay one from the USA, one from UK, and one from Canada never arrived.  While the items in question were not expensive on average it was around $25 for each of the items - the items never arrived.  I got refunded for these items but to have 3 items in one month never arrive seems to be accessively high in lost shipments through the mail.   I can maybe understand lost mail from the UK and the USA but to lose a parcel from Canada Post (as I am in Canada) seems to be very odd especially since the seller lived in the same province as me.

So is this a string of "bad luck" items being lost in the mail?

It does seem high.

I'd be talking to your postmaster (not at the postal Outlet, the post Office) about any suggestions they may have.

Since you were refunded, should we assume that all of these were Tracked but none showed Delivery?

Or were they untracked- where the seller gives up Proof of Delivery in favour of lower shipping costs?
