Russian sanctions and buying on eBay

Has anyone purchased from Russian sellers on eBay before, and are there any issues beyond just long shipping times?

Russian sanctions and buying on eBay

There is no particular reason for long shipping times.

EBay allows 30 days from the estimated last date for delivery to open a Dispute for Not Received.

However, if the delivery window is over 30 days, the seller is playing games. Don't buy.

And mark that Last Date on your calendar.

The Resolution Centre is at the bottom of most pages.

Don't allow the seller (any seller, Russian, Canadian, Yankee, Peruvian) to schmooze you into letting that window close.

Read the seller's Feedback for patterns of slow or no delivery, poor quality, bad communication. The pattern is more important than the number.

I don't like condemning entire nations for the bad actions of some citizens.

Be prepared to pay for Air Mail delivery.  You don't need tracking, that's a Seller Protection, but many international shipping services are tracked if they are Air Mail.

Time is money. Surface shipping takes two to three months. Which makes it a waste of money.

By the way, sanctions?

I don't think anything bought or sold on eBay is likely to be affected by current sanctions.
Maybe those Avro Arrow blueprints....

I've made a couple of purchases from Russia without any problems.  Delivery was about a month.
