I get the i have won the auction think ...oh yea im happy..buy it should still be running for a couple hours
so i go to pay and ask for an invoice as i had got a shipping quote from him before at less than the ebay listed cost
I noticed a case open ...its him , wants to cancel the transaction..I replyed you can not close an auction that has bids on it in the last 2-3 hours of it when it has bids on it....
and clicked on decline
I did not know that would close the case..oppps
so now what ?
I do not want my feedback wrecked by a seller that has listed this same item twice now and this time with no reserve
Please Help me

Is this for "savage xl" ?
Your seller listed the item a few weeks ago for $0.99 plus $100 shipping. The seller cancelled the listing early after having received two bids of $30 and $55 while two bidders cancelled their bids ($125 and $500 claiming an error).
The new listing attracted 10 bids, the highest being $127.50 (+$75.00 shipping)
Is this the listing?
Has the seller requested you cancel the transaction?
What specific reason has he given you?
If you do not agree to cancel the transaction, tell your seller.
Do not pay until the matter is resolved.
Your feedback will NOT be affected. Sellers cannot leave negative feedback for buyers.

"ebay score of 145, i guess with only a few sales"
That seller only has four feedbacks as a seller:
3 positive and 1 negative.
Not good at all.

The reason that was given was" I've already sold through small announcement "
I dont believe this , i believe that it was not high enough for him so he canceled the auction before it ended
I declined this , not realising that it would close the case ....omg

The bid sequence looks strange... and then $125 and $500 withdrew...
When the new Wii games systems came out ....I found strange bidding on one listing
Bidding went very quickly up to $1200
First bid was $100...
All of the bids between $100 and $1200 cancelled their bids because of an error in the listing... a simple spelling error
and then the $1200 bid withdrew and the $100 bid was tops....doubt whether unit sold
This series of bidding sounded fishy....Bidder collusion.
This seller could be playing games. Your refusal to cancel means seller must eat the FVF.... or go to eBay to explain things and vilify the buyer who did not cancel...
Seller's explanation to eBay should be more interesting each time he does this with the same item...
Let it go seller cannot leave negative feedback... but could report you because you chose not to cancel.... a form of anonymous negative feedback... one report is no problem... but... many reports by many sellers could add up.. for any one buyer...

I didn't think you could cancel an auction with less than 12 hours to run unless you were selling to the highest bidder?

If a seller cancels an auction with less than 12 hours left... he must sell it to the highest bidder.
In this situation the high bidder becomes the buyer, and FVF are calculated and charged to the seller.
Evidently seller was unhappy with something.
Buyer did not agree to a cancellation of the transaction...
Seller does not get the fees back unless he can convince eBay.... that he should get the FVF as a credit.
Withdrawal of the high bids, $125 and $500, makes things look strange...Why were they withdrawn?

Don't worry about having your FB trashed.
Sellers can only leave PFB or no FB for buyers.
The situation as it stands it that you have won the item and the seller has to pay ebay fees for that transaction.
Do not agree to cancel the transaction........
Then wait and see what happens.
Do you really want to buy a seller like this? The item could well be not as described then you're stuck with paying return shipping with tracking.
If for some wonky reason you get a strike for no paying (highly unlikely), call ebay and they will remove it.

Thanks, yea i wish i had known they coulda removed it
I disagreed with canceling it , i was bidding in good faith and truly intended to purchase
I paid for it..likely like a fool, thinking to avoid the strike.
However i am not in a position that waiting it out will cause me undue hardship
Have not heard a word from the guy since the payment
I have since opened a paypal dispute
Ebay and Paypal can deal with him now
