I would however caution against advising that a buyer can always save money by combining shipping from a GSP seller. We see it can be done now, yes, that is good. But if the item(s) are under the de minimus threshold and import fees would likely not apply unless combined with other more expensive items as part of a multi-item order, then one must weight the added cost of import fees against the combined shipping economies.

And then also arises the question of whether an hour spent massaging Shopping Cart contents to save $8 is a good return on time investment.

Don't forget that import charges (i.e. processing and clearance fees) are added to the shipping charge for items that sell below the de minimus threshold.  There may be a small discount to the shipping charge for a modestly-valued item with that discount being in the hidden import charges.
