seller ships to my country but never provides tracking number

but then when you msg them about it, they reply saying the shipping got 'sent back' and 'wont ship to your country without a shipping upgrade fee'

im feeling scammed, then a tracking number IS provided but the item is held basically hostage just to squeeze another $20 out of me...im getting sick of chinese sellers right now, censor me or whatever its just the truth...if not i would have had my items 3 months ago!!!

The seller has the option to ship the item as you purchased it with the shipping agreed or you are entitled to a full refund. You might need to wait until it goes past expected arrival date to put a item not received request. You can also try calling eBay and seeing if they will help you out but I don't know what they will do.

You are protected.

The seller is not required to use tracking. In any case, tracking is for the protection of the seller - against false Item Not Received disputes.

So.

EBay gave you a date for delivery.

This is YOUR protection. If you have not received your purchase by that date you have 30 days to open an Item Not Received Dispute in the Resolution Centre at the bottom of this page.

If the seller cannot prove delivery (not shipping, delivery)he must refund you.  If he does not do so, promptly, you ask eBay to step in, still in the Dispute, escalate it to a Claim and eBay will refund you then go after him for their money.

If the scammer seller has schmoozed you past that 30 day deadline, you are still covered by Paypal.

Paypal's Buyer Protection runs for 180 days from Payment.

The PP Resolution Centre is at the top of your PP account page under Tools.

Same basic system, and if the seller cannot prove delivery (not shipping, delivery)he must refund you.If he does not do so, promptly, you ask Paypal to step in, still in the Dispute, escalate it to a Claim and PP will refund you then go after him for their money.

You can also get a chargeback from the credit card you back your PP account with, but every card's policy is different.

The seller is NOT allowed to demand more money for delivery than he originally advertised. This is a scam and eBay frowns on it. You might include that Message in your Dispute.

It is entirely possible that the scammer has no product. He may well be selling vapourware.

He never sends anything and hopes that most of his buyers don't notice or do not know how to open a Not Recieved Dispute and get that refund.

He makes money on the ones who forget and on the ones who agree to a "tracked" replacement which is also never sent, or arrives after that original eBay Money Back Guarantee has run out.  Nasty.

No one will censor you for complaining about any particular group of sellers. Only if you get vulgar and threatening.  You are in a safe place.

Most Chinese sellers are honest. But there are a lot of them and if even one percent of two million are crooked that's 20,000 crooks.

Once you have your refund, you can leave feedback. You have 60 days from purchase for that. If that time has run out, you can add a Response to any FB he may have left for you.  But FB is not used by eBay to assess seller accounts.

You want money.
