Lets get something straight Ticky….
A…. This is an open forum. Try to grasp the concept of OPEN! Translation,…. anyone can comment in ANY thread and NO ONE OWNS any of them. If someone wants a place where they can discriminate against specific people and ideas then I suggest that they get a personal website, put a lock on it and run their own little kingdom of private dictatorship with the blind leading the blind. Until then TS will continue to be a place where anyone can express their opinion in any thread, because, unlike punk rock music where they haven’t learned to play three cords….Town Square is a place where people listen to a variety of perceptions and wish to find knowledge,…. not Control.
B…. TRUTH is NOT Negativity except in the minds of those who wish to live in ignorance, or, wish to spew untruths and down right lies so that they can promote bigotry, prejudice and hatred in their own little way….which…..I will speak out against anywhere and anytime. Lies and the subtle promotion of prejudice must never be given credence or those who profess them will infect others with their subliminal bigotry. It has to be eradicated in every crack and cranny that it festers in.
C…. No one made comments in Trupti’s thread because Trupti didn’t have a thread that said ‘my religion is the best’…or….’if you don’t believe as we do, you are doomed for eternity’…or…’the US and Canada are founded on our religious principles and it would be better if everyone followed our beliefs’. So there was no reason to say anything in that thread, or many others because neither she, nor other people, were promoting beliefs saying that they are right and all other beliefs were wrong. Even the other thread that is most constantly on page 1, the people there have their beliefs but they do not promote them, or condemn others. They get together to share life and it’s experiences Only. You don’t ever see people in there saying that their beliefs are right and others are wrong, or that those who believe something else will burn for eternity, or that anyone of any belief should be shunned or eradicated……all of which and more has been said directly as well as hinted at in this thread. Then when these things were said, did any of the regular posters come in and say “no, that’s wrong to say that”…..instead there was silence and silence dear Dronefly is quiet APPROVAL.
Here’s a lesson about how real life works Ticky…..If you stand up in a room, stand on a street corner, or post in an ‘open’ forum and what someone says is incorrect, or down right lies,……then anyone has a Right to correct that person and not just for that person’s sake, but also just to make sure that anyone who hears what that person says is also given the opposite side of the story containing facts and Truth. The only people who would object to this are those who wish to keep the lies going in order to attract more people to the herd.
You may think it’s the poor Christians who are being commented at and you would be incorrect yet again. There have been many, many other threads where people have made comments about what others have said….however most of those threads come and go. If there were another thread in which someone said that their beliefs are the only ‘right’ ones and everyone else is wrong, or saying that people should be condemned, or that their religion was the founding essence of this country and we would all be better off only following their beliefs…….then you can bet your butt I’d be in there straightening their act out as well. However……no one else does this.
Do you honestly think that I come in here with facts and information to “hurt other people’s feelings”. LOL, give me a break! The people who are totally indoctrinated to believe what they believe will always believe it and I have no personal urge or even hope that they would change. Frankly, I could care less. People can sit in their own little ‘privacy’ and believe what they want, hate who they want…..it will always be that way. But, when people come out in the public and make statements that are untrue to promote beliefs and even hatred and prejudice, then they cross the line. I make my comments not for the indoctrinated, but for the other people who are reading and the lurkers because I don’t want anyone taking at face value misinformation, such as…. that the US or Canada were founded on ‘Christian’ beliefs. I don’t want anyone reading that and thinking ‘hummmm, I didn’t realize that’ and thinking it’s true…..because it’s Not, anymore than the ostrich is the national symbol for Canada, albeit some people act like one.
So the bottom line is……in an OPEN Forum where people have exchanges of ideas and perceptions.... people have not only the right, but the duty in many cases, to tell the truth when lies are spewed. You will just have to deal with the reality of it all and if you don’t like the heat, well, you can sit down at the table and learn, or,….there’s a door to every kitchen.

I make comments in other threads Ticky. As for Trupti's thread I guess you just can't grasp the comparisons....there was nothing to be said in her thread because she condemned no one and told no lies. Your problem if you can’t understand the difference, not mine. As for where I go, or anyone else for that matter, I'll make comments about lies, hatred, bigotry and prejudice wherever it raises it's head…..you'll just have to learn to deal with that. As for leaving others alone…..well I just made a comment in post 4180 in reply to the (ahem) inaccuracies and falsehoods of posts 4177 and 4179 at which point I was happy to leave it at that……but……valve responded, so I responded to him. I tried to avoid further lengthy comments until you came in again with your spew in post 4211…..which desperately needed replying to. So in one breath you tell me to not say anything and in the next breath you continue to make comments. Maybe where you live you always get the last word and everyone is trained to stay quiet, but I don’t take orders from you. Can you grasp that? Good.
