Welcome to a place where the BIBLE can be discussed rationally, intelligently, and positively without unnecessary argument!!
Welcome to a place where prayer can be requested and encouraged!!
Welcome to a place where positive and encouraging thoughts from scripture can be shared in a caring and loving way!!
Welcome to a place away from all the arguments, recriminations, and negativity of the outside world!!
Welcome to a place of rest and safety!!
Welcome to a place where Philippians 2:3 is practiced: "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves."
Welcome to this Christian thread.
(Please leave all aggression, bitterness, and philosophy outside the door and please wipe your feet before coming inside!!)

I live in my own little world. But it's OK... They know me Here!

Eph.6:10-17.

As far as I know there is no direct verse that states that but it is a principal that is in the Bible (at least in my mind).
By equal I mean we all are loved by God. We have all fallen short of His standard. He has provided a provision for all. His desire is that we all come to Him. etc.
Romans chapter five is one area that explains some of this at least for me.
Take care.

Andrew, what I find most awesome is His mercy and forgiveness. I also agree with you. I believe he loves all his children equally. I think he is more pleased with some of his children, but he loves us equally.

I can count a million times
People asking me how I Can praise You
with all that I've gone through
The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You
Maybe since my life was changed
Long before these rainy days
It's never really ever crossed my mind
To turn my back on You, oh Lord
My only Shelter from the storm
But instead I draw closer through these times
So I pray
Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain
I am Yours regardless of the clouds
that may loom above
because You are much greater than my pain
You who made a way for me
suffering Your destiny so tell me whats a little rain
Holy, Holy, Holy
Holy, Holy, Holy
is the Lord God almighty
is the Lord God almighty
I'm forever singing
everybody singing
Holy holy holy
you are holy
you are holy

If you want to walk on water, you've got to get out of the boat.-J. Ortberg

Why does God have to be so silent when I feel like my world is crumbling...

There is not a person here posting on the boards, the lurkers or otherwise that has not had problems. God is not silent, no matter which God it may be. The answer is we all have to go through rough times, you are not alone, and it is the rough times that make one stronger.
Your world is not crumbling, your world will be what you make it to be and that which you may perceive to be.
Believe in and love yourself first, before all others as if you don't love yourself, you have nothing to give to those that are close to you, and they do need you, including the nice people here who wouldn't want anything to happen to you.

A pastor was in the habit of reading every word of his sermons - which were rather long and tedious. One of the congregation thought to cure him of this, and, before the service, slipped into the pulpit and removed one page at random.
The preacher began. After a while he reached the point where the page was gone. "And Adam said unto Eve..." He paused. "And Adam, err, said unto Eve...There seems to be a leaf missing!" <>

I also wanted to know what you are planning on for a new career when you move. Let me know on the coffee thread when you have some time. Can you get a job in the native community, or, just a guess here, does it involve sewing?
May God bless you by letting you get a full night's sleep in this exciting time! Susan
