Okay I'm in. This seems to be the only decent thread on CTS even with its occasional bully - (by the way henrbob, what gives? Didn't your mama teach you if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all?)

Regarding religion: I was raised Catholic but left the church years ago. I'm not much of a church attendee, but I have my beliefs and I share them when asked and never when not asked, but I think it's safe to admit in this thread that I am a Christian although I'm sure that will be held against me by the nasty lurkers although I don't really care one way or the other if it is.

Hi April!

There are lots of nice people out there--I don't know why there is so much anger right now, hopefully it will calm down. It is very nice to see you both in here.

Iamontou, there are all different denominations of Christians who visit here. Several have not identified which church they belong to or were raised in and left. Myself, I don't attend a church, or know much about the Bible, just know I loved God and I have been welcomed from the beginning and not judged.

As I posted to April, this thread does not move fast, sometimes you have to search for it but when you find it--post away! It is great to "see" you.

Yeah, we may not all share the exact same beliefs, but it really doesn't matter. It's sharing the same common goal that's important. To me 'respect' is a huge part in attaining that goal.

Having a wonderful time in Barkyville. We must have hit 25 yard sales this morning. We're now off to the market to buy some 'healthy' food (not much of that in this house right now I'm afraid...*sigh*) :-x

Hi Christine! Hope you are enjoying the long weekend.

TOB--hope this vacation is the best one you have had so far. It is so good to see your happy updates. You really deserve this break, and I know it is a shorter one than you had originally planned so hope it is everything you want and more.

Cabiso, nice to see you again. I know this is a precious time with your DD too.

We got a wonderful surprise last night. We have put in a small garden by our parking spot on the road. We added a small gazebo and lots of hanging plants. We added a ceramic bell to hang by the arch marking our stairs down to the house. DBIL who is a well known local artist arrived with a sign he had carved for us as a surprise. He has carved it to perfectly fit our archway. He knew we were disappointed when our arch was built because it looked too small. The carpenter who designed it had not taken into account the slope of our land, so coming up the stairs it is very tall, going down, you feel you have to duck. It looks wonderful now with this beautiful sign. A finishing touch that we would not have dared to hope for. We could not afford a painting of his--not at this time of our lives. It has touched us both that this very busy artist took the time out to carve and paint this sign for us. He is such a generous man and a blessing to our family. I am such a lucky duck.

Thetickletrunk I think you said it well. I am kind of in the same boat as far as beliefs, I don't have a denominaion either. Looking back through the threads, survivornikki's line about how she just loves God, that's good enough for me, too.
