Good morning, Christine . . .
OMG that's exactly who He is, Marion.;-)
TOB. . . yes, these board is full of awesome people . . . among lurkers and regular posters alike.
I've been a bit discouraged lately (not dragged down depressed or anything like that) but I guess it's more disappointed really. DS left for school two weeks ago and we haven't heard a word...none...zip....nada as to whether he's made it there or not, how registration went, how life is going in general. Well, I know he's made it there OK because he left here with his GF, so I'm sure if something happened along the way and she didn't get home, her parents would've been calling us. I'm too stubborn to call him. There's absolutely no reason he can't call home - he has a cellphone (that we pay for). Yet, we continue to provide for his needs - the school has my credit card #, he has a gas card and a credit card that gets paid automatically every month and lots of friends & relatives around the area who has his wellbeing in mind (and I'm sure would call us if anything is wrong!). I continue to be patient and wait on him.
From this experience I draw a spiritual lesson that reminds me how God is always being patient with me. In my busyness and enjoying life, sometimes I neglect my devotional time and communicating with Him. . . yet He continues to love me and takes care of me. Eventually, I remember Him and what He's done for me and call on Him. . .and He never rags on me and tell me 'yeah! what do you want? you only call when you want something!' - I'll try to remember that!!
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Matthew 7:11
But sonny better remember 'mommy' soon because I am not God - I am so human! and my patience wears thin.X-( I know, I know. . .hubby says just call him already.
Well, better get on with my day.

Too blessed to be stressed.
