Canadian tariffs on US goods.

For anyone interested below is a HS search for a brass ornament unmarked but from personal information was  obtained in Wales and how it displays at Tariffinder. Note: Does "Crazy Hair" have issues with Wales? That's anyones guess!!!! Will buyer be accessed duty? Again. Who knows. Welcome to Trump 2.0.

From a sellers perspective looking up many HS codes is similar to item condition. Entirely subjective. This is why Customs  yay or nay applicable duty rates when an inspections are required and why eBay etc are not qualified for this step and why it should NOT be done in advance.

Note: Results will all depend on the terms used in your search.

How items will be treated really depends on country of origin taking into consideration ebay sellers (for most part) are resellers of goods from everywhere. Basically cart before the horse process in accessing inventory. We are on rare occasions manufacturers of what we are selling. And for anything we do sell, we don't have immediate access to product breakdown of components to confirm an item is truly Canadian/US or whatever made. The allowable de minimus is critical for most of us going forward.

Note: The view you will see when looking up an HS code really depends on the site you are using.

I did used UK. Wales is not available in the dropdowns. The item was purchased in the country of Wales. The comment regarding Wales was made tongue in cheek.

Yes, Wales is a country that is part of the United Kingdom. It's located on the island of Great Britain, along with England and Scotland.

Similar to how improperly eBay treats countries that have been renamed for various reasons for anyone who sells stamps. They do not exist as an option.

EBay is also confused about the US territories like Puerto Rico. And states like Alaska.
