A few hours ago, I sat in my favourite chair ready to listen to the Speech of the Throne by the Governor General.

After a few minutes of platitutes, I fell asleep.

Did I miss anything?  I mean anything real?

At my age I find that too. I mean fall asllep in my chair.

The throne would have been better made on a porcelain throne and it had about as much "real" as a 2am infomercial for Chinese vacuum cleaner that really sucks.

No you missed nothing, go back to sleep, we'll wake you up when Trudeau is elected.

haha - I thought this was going to be another one of Pierre's great philosophical pieces about aging gracefully.

In the case of this throne speech though, sleeping about the only available antidote...
