Thank you for being a Bucks member, and a valuable part of our eBay community. We’re reaching out to tell you about upcoming changes to the eBay Bucks program.

After careful consideration, we’ve decided to retire the 1% earnings reward on everyday purchases starting April 1st, 2021. The good news is, you will continue to receive bonus Bucks offers, so you can keep earning.

And, beginning April 1st, the Bucks you earn will have a 12-month redemption window, so there’s even more time to score those big savings.

We hope that gives you more time to enjoy everyday savings and deals on the brands you love. Plus, all the exciting finds you’ve come to expect on eBay: from the rare to the retro to the right now.

Sincerely,

The eBay Bucks Team

I also got it. The good news is, we will have 12 months to accumulate bucks. Bad news is, we will have to wait a special offer to get them. It kinda sucks.

Maybe they will add interest so they can accumulate faster. I'm up to .81 cents Canadian. Saving for a Wayne Gretzky rookie card.  🙂

Well, thanks for expressing the rational for this determination.

I'm certainly eager and incentivized.

I've spent $225 CAD since Jan 01, and have earned and 'scored those big savings' of  $1.77 USD (approx.  $2.24 CAD) in Bucks.

I consider this to be equivalent to being cancelled as it's rare that the sales or events they promote are things I use or want/need.

For those who have been around, eBay bucks was cancelled many years ago then brought back.

Ah whatever, I stopped selling here, pretty soon I'll stop shopping here.

There's my two cents, but alas, I'm afraid you can't spend them anywhere.
