January 9, 2025 9:50am PT - I'm on Chrome for Mac and I've tried restarting Chrome a couple of times, but I continue to have issues with the Message system. Either it takes ages to type something (type and wait for words to show, then type again etc) or wait ages for the page to load messages and the reply section, or often it just crashes and you get the error in my attachment.

Anyone else having this issue?

Try opening eBay in a Private Window (Firefox), Incognito Window (Chrome), or inPrivate Window (Edge). See if it works. If it does, then you may not have the newest website code loaded in your browser or an addon could be doing something weird.

We had another post about slow typing, and most of the advice was to type in a text document on the desktop and then cut and paste into eBay.

The problem is likely to be your machine rather than eBay, since most respondents are not seeing any delays.

If you are using a grammar checker such as Grammarly or Language Tool, try uninstalling (temporarily disabling may not be sufficient if that is the issue). Or try a different browser without that extension installed.
