This has been happening for a month now.
customer put items in their carts, then on checkout they are processed twice or thrice.
meaning the customer ends up with 2 or 3 multiples that they didnt ask for. and then i need to cancel the excess maually.
ebay didnt know what to do, placed me on hold then hung up.
any body has similar problems?

First you should be talking to eBay employees, not the phone reps who work for a sub-contractor.

https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/How-do-I-contact-Customer-Support/m-p/32016431#M1783851 -> Automated Assistant, type AGENT -> enter. You will then get more options.
These "chats" also give you a transcript to review in case what you heard was not what was said.
"Chat" means written, btw.
The eBay employees who respond are well-trained and have some authority.
Since this is the first time this particular problem has been reported, my first thought is that it is your browser, rather than eBay going wonky.

I haven't yet heard of this happening with other sellers transactions. I assume that the problem is happening with different buyers?
