I've had a few of these this week (sorry no screen shot)
Buyer purcahses item, I go to ship using eBay labels but the address pops up as incorrect and I have to correct it before proceeding to enter size/weight.
2 so far for 'too many characters' on an address line
1 for a blank field 'state is a required field' going to Singapore..
and I've had ones with Canadian postal codes not sytaxed properly so kicks it out for me to fix (i.e. an "O" instead of a "#zero")
Why does eBay allow a customer to fill out the address incorrectly, making it my problem to solve? It should fail on the customer end so they can actually put the correct address in for us.... Once I change the address, it's potentially on me if something happens. And if the customer puts the incorrect postal code in (happened last week) then I get billed later for an address change on top of the initial shipping, when it was the customer who made the mistake and the system that didn't catch it...
ChitChats, Shippo, and the native FedEx and UPS and Canada Post shipping apps catch the majority of these, so it shouldn't be that difficult to impliment.
Once in a while is annoying, but the frequency seems to be increasing at least for me.
