Any update on eBay Shipping Labels using Canada Post Small Business Seller Level/Discount Level.
03-09-2021 09:22 PM
Hello Tyler,
In now seeing how the Transaction page displays in Payments are there any plans in the not to distance future to update the look to show the amount(Total) that is used to generate the fee lines? If the applicable % used (They vary per category) was included that would be optimal. Currently it is a very disjointed page. Examples below.
1. 4 x 15.00 each (Not Extended)to the UK plus shipping(Not Displayed), Tax(Vat)(Not Displayed) = Total(Not Included)
- eBay only displays 15.00 Quantity 4
2. 1 x 7.95 each (Not Extended) to Canada plus shipping(Not Included), = Total(Not Included)
- eBay only displays 7.95
3. 3 x 36.50 each to USA plus Shipping(Not Included), + Tax (Not Included) = Total (Not Included)
- eBay only displays 36.50 Quantity 3
From a sellers perspective it is very difficult to understand/follow the math. You shouldn't need a BA in Accounting to make sense of an invoice. Especially if this is going to be the final format going forward. As mentioned in another discussion some sort of Fee Calculator would be most helpful for sellers to truly understand what they are being charged. The old invoice page links for those tools are either there and not active(for months) or lead you to something totally unrelated.

Hi Tyler,
Could eBay please go back to putting 100% of the item title back in the Subject section to all pertaining email that is sent to me with the regards to a completion of an item - sold or not?
Not only are those 88 characters that you afford to me only searchable by the buyers, but I also as a seller search the item titles of all my previous items. As a postcard seller, I have over 158,000 items with a history on eBay that are searchable via email records. I can search the Subject header for certain keywords very quickly. Hiding the item title in the body of the email renders searches useless as it takes forever.
Lately the email notifications of an item's term on eBay have been pathetic - showing either at times:
a) the full item title,
b) a somewhat useless truncated version of the item title, or yet even worse,
c) NO item title at all and just stating "Your eBay item sold! )"! To add insult to injury, the item title is missing in the body section of the email, rendering the email as completely useless space in my database!
It would be nice to know when I am listing a postcard that I sold years ago how much it sold for, if it sold on auction or fixed price, how long was it on eBay, and so on...
Your eBay email notifications used to be a wonderful searchable database - now it is becoming useless.
Please put it back to what it used to be for years and years and years.
A simple request!

Hello Tyler,
It appears recently eBay made a change with MP. If customer selects purchase and pays almost immediately a seller will only receive 1 email message. (Combined email). If there is a delay in payment we receive a second email. At least this what I am seeing. I have heard from others that they may not be seeing the second email. For the majority of sellers they file that 2nd email as confirmation of payment. Could we get that confirmation returned for all situations. Going forward, this could cause major problems for many sellers if is not returned. As far as my searching has taken me, this change was never officially or unofficially announced.

It's great that there has been a few changes on the boards since they update. But I'm curious as to why threads with new posts no longer go to the top of the board and why the title of the thread doesn't go back to bold if there is a new post? Those are things that have always been done and which make the board functional. It's very frustrating to have to go through the board to figure if there are any new posts on the threads that I've already read.

If I understand correctly, changes in the allotment of listings for stores and changes in fees for both store and non store owners on .com will not carried over to .ca. Are the new fees going to be seller location specific or site specific? If I am registered in Canada and list on .com will I be charged the .ca rates or the new .com rates once they do change?
If our store allottment is 350, are we still allowed to list 350 on .com and 350 on .ca as we can do now?

Another comment about the new boards..
Not only do we have to keep scrolling down the board to see if any new posts were added to threads we've already read when we do open that thread, we have to scroll down past all the read posts in order to see the new post. That's another feature that was previously on this board and is now gone. Will it be reinstated?
There is defintely a lot of time wasted and missed posts with the way it is set up now.

Not a question. More of a commentary.
I routinely go back and forth between dot ca's discussion board and dot com's discussion board to search out and help other sellers and buyers. There are distinct differences between how the 2 sites(Discussion, Selling Portion, Buying Portion, Help Area) work. Detailing the precise differences or similarities is almost impossible. Just like how the frustrations and issues vary. At times it feels like using a Pinto and a Jeep Patriot and not having access to the owners manual for either.
As far as it goes for the new format for discussions, at least on dot com I can sometimes locate what is a new discussion or additional post. On dot ca....Not so much.

How do we go about deleting our SIN number from our account? What if I do not feel comfortable with my SIN number being on the eBay servers?
When registering with the new system, I put in my SIN number and would like to get that deleted from the system.

Hello Tyler,
Invoice follow up question.
With MP is it possible to generate a report for total tax or promotional savings over the course of a month. I attempted to create reports using the available tools and it displayed as a garbled unprintable mess. Sadly I am not fluent in spreadsheet.

Hi @ericsells75 - no change on this: you are not able to use your own Canada Post discount level with the eBay Shipping Label solution.

Hi @lotzofuniquegoodies - I wish I could provide insight into future enhancements for payments! I can't see what the future holds there, but will get this suggested. 🙂

Hi @imbuzzy - I'm afraid I can't make promises on this front, but I'll share it with the powers that be!

@lotzofuniquegoodies - I'm unaware of a specific change that was made to the payments email process. However, I'm not a payments expert so wouldn't be able to talk much to specifics. I'll get your feedback sent to the payments team for consideration!

Hi @pjcdn2005 - definitely not what is supposed to be happening. I have Khoros looking into it and hopefully we will see it corrected within the near future. I agree that it makes things remarkably difficult to navigate.

Hi @pjcdn2005 - yes, this is something that is being worked on to re-implement! I don't have a timeline yet but I'm hoping it's soon because I miss it too.

Hi @ahmad180887 - you should be able to view and edit to remove your details in the 'Payments' tab of Seller Hub. If you need assistance with this please consider requesting a callback from a payments trained teammate. Thanks!

Hi @lotzofuniquegoodies - I'm not able to provide detailed support when it comes to payments - please request a call back from a payments-trained teammate so they can help you out with this one!
