G'morning Tyler,
Thanks for opening the chat.
With GTC when it kicks in I still see any offers that we receive from eBay becoming very confusing to administer. Example attached.
Extra! Extra!
Extra Savings Are Coming Your Way.
List from 3/9-3/10 and sell within 30 days.
Limit of 5 items.
How will we, as sellers be able to choose which listings to apply when GTC will be ending, quite often, at any time during an offer?

An excellent point, GTC could easily foul up promotions. In the case of List for $1 FVF promotions a seller could easily have 5 very low dollar GTC listings renew before the seller has a chance to list their 5 high dollar ones. In that scenario the $1 x 2 =2 FVF charged if any of those very low dollar (under $10) listings sell will actually result in higher fees being charged.
The only way i see to avoid the problem described above will be to delay activating the promotion until all 5 listings intended for it are ready to list immediately after activation. Even then one would need to run a report first to make sure nothing else was about to relist.

Hi @lotzofuniquegoodies - I agree! I'm still waiting on clarification on how this will work and what process (if any) will be in place to help manage that, whether that be a special 'promotional duration' tag that doesn't make items GTC, or a new filter in Seller Hub that lets you sort by items that are on promotion with a countdown timer. Hoping to get some good clarification on that quickly. 🙂
