Time to rethink this

Before Ebay introduced the new Management Payment System when a buyer made a purchase and there was tax involved pending the country origin or state or province the buyer lives in Ebay would collect the tax but there would be no fee charged to the seller as it now happening.

This to me is nothing more then money grab for Ebay

If a buyer were to purchase an item and then pending ther country/state/province had to pay $150.00 in tax

Why should a seller be on the hook as a fee of 10%  plus if buyer lives in Europe and seller is in Canada why pay the extra 1% fee on top on the Tax portion

This new system its just set up to rake in more money by Ebay.

It should only be  charging 2.35% on that tax portion if it was $150.00 to be paid by buyer  and not scamming by collecting an extar 11% fee plus again tax on the fee amount collects

Of the tax portion to buyer on that $150.00 Ebay collects some $23.00 in fees now that is totally wrong

But its ok it just get passed on to the buyers cause now when ever i get an offer on an item i search where waht country buyer is in and what tax are invloved if any and then i add things up and pending on the offer i get if those fees that now ebay collects are not with in the offer i decline but alos explain it to the buyer and most undersatnd and are bulking to buying items on ebay and deal offline on other free sites like kijiji or Facebook martket place of Facebook groups or straight direct contact on any socail medias

Ebay reps instead of attracting buyers sellers its pushing them away.

Under the old PayPal-based system, PayPal based its fees on the total transaction value which meant that sellers would be paying PayPal fees on the taxes eBay charged and remitted for sales where internet sales taxes applied.

Credit card processors also charge fees based on the total transaction value, which includes taxes, tips, what have you.

While the optics of eBay applying FVF to taxes it has to charge and remit on a seller's behalf aren't great, my impression is that the FVF percentages have been adjusted in part to take internet sales taxes into consideration.  There have been a few total fee comparisons pre- and post-Managed Payments, and the difference between the total fees paid in these examples seems to be minimal.  It's probably best to consider the total fees you've paid in the past for a sale versus the total you're paying now and not get too fussed about the details unless something really seems off.  PayPal buried a lot of fees into what you paid them, particularly for international sales, and that seems to be throwing off some sellers.
