Ebay will allow a Canadian and US address for a ship to address to receive purchases.
Paypal however will only allow an address in the country you are registered in, no foreign addresses allowed.
I called Paypal Canada and you can not add a US address to my account. I also called Paypal USA and I can't add a Canadian address to my US account.
What do sellers do when an out of country buyer buys something with a US address on Ebay, and then when they pay, they of course can't have a foreign address and the Ebay address won't agree with the Paypal adress and it is supposed to be shipped to the Paypal address, not the Ebay address.
I know there have been various discussions and answers over the years, but what do sellers do at the present time. Is the Ebay address any good? When I ran into this situation with a buyer, I called Paypal and was told to be protected, the order must be shipped to the Paypal address. They will not accept buyer authorization by email.

One can have several addresses on eBay.
Before a purchase is made a Primary Shipping Address is identified.
When an item is purchased this Primary Shipping Address becomes the address on Paypal. This is a direct link between eBay and Paypal for the purchase.
The address on Paypal cannot be modified/edited on Paypal.

Canadian buyers can specify a US address if the seller does not ship to Canada.... Many Canadians do this
People in blocked countries can buy if they identify a Primary Shipping Address in Canada or the US or any other country that is not blocked.

Sellers should only ship to the Paypal address..... and in so doing they are protected

That would mean you have to keep changing the primary shipping address depending on where you want it sent to, prior to purchasing, not prior to paying or am I still misunderstanding.

Once you add an address to eBay it's available in PayPal. I occasionally use my US Address from my PayPal account and it's definitely not my Primary.
Most users have their primary set to the address they use almost always or always, if you buy anything that uses calculated shipping that will be the address the shipping will be based on.
The only time I've needed to make my US address as the Primary is when I'm trying to buy from a Seller who does not ship to Canada and has a block to prevent non-US shipping.

I tried that a couple of weeks ago and it would not accept my US address from Canada using Paypal. I had to transfer money to my US Paypal account to accept the same US address.
I will try it again in a couple of weeks to see what happens.

I had a buyer in England have me ship the purchase to a Canadian address..... a Christmas present.
I had a buyer in Israel have me ship the purchase to a friend in the US.
I only ship to Canadian and US destinations.....

I believe tha recped was talking about changing his primary address to the US one on eBay, not PayPal as you can't add a foreign address directly on PayPal.
